If you’re planning to vote in the November 4 elections in Georgia, you must register as a Georgia voter by Monday, October 6. Here are some related, important links and dates.
REGISTRATION
- The registration deadline for voters in Georgia is Monday, October 6, if you plan to vote in the Sky Valley Municipal General Election and the Special Election for Public Service Commissioner scheduled for November 4, 2025. (Early voting starts October 14.)
- You can register online or in person. To register online, you must have a valid Georgia driver’s license or identification card.
- To register in person, visit the Rabun Election Office in Clayton between 9 AM and 5 PM on Monday, October 6. (184 S Main St Suite 102, Clayton, GA 30525)

VOTING ABSENTEE
- The state will not send an absentee ballot unless you specifically request one. https://georgia.gov/vote-absentee-ballot
- You don’t need a reason to request an absentee ballot in Georgia.
- The absentee Ballot Application Window is August 18–October 24, 2025.
- Absentee ballots will be mailed out starting October 14, 2025 (which is also the start of early voting) .
- Your completed absentee ballot must be received by the county election office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, November 4.
